This document is a desktop study of culvert material and design in the context of the Avon River Basin. The changing hydrology of the Avon catchment and the associated water quality issues prompted the inclusion of the following Management Action Target in the project’s scope. The often poor water quality associated with surface water flows in the ARB can lead to the premature degradation of road assets. This can impose a significant and at times the unnecessary cost on Shires across the catchment.
