Call out for August carbon footprinting workshop

Posted in:
Sustainable Agriculture

We’re working with the Landcare Australia Farming Program team to deliver a series of free carbon footprint workshops nationally throughout 2021. In early August 2021, we will deliver this program in our Wheatbelt community.

The aim of these workshops is to determine baseline benchmarks and develop a network of producers and industry stakeholders. These groups (or hubs) will provide national alignment across multiple themes that can be used for ‘best practice’ in carbon outcomes.

What to expect

Participants will be contacted approximately three to four weeks prior to the online workshop to collect data and arrange one-on-one consultations. These meetings will work through farm and enterprise data in addition to any pre-workshop questions.

The group carbon footprinting workshop will be run online for three to four hours and will go over group carbon account results and benchmarks. The program will work with between 10 and 12 Wheatbelt producers whose focus is on commodity grazing and/or cropping.

Following the online group webinar, a 30 minute one-on-one meeting with each participants to discuss carbon accounting, develop a personalised action and answer any further questions. At the conclusion of the program, participants will receive a brief report with their own carbon footprint and action plan.
