National NRMA Conference held in WA

Posted in:
Community Engagement

From 31 October to 2 November, our Wheatbelt team travelled down to beautiful Margaret River to attend the National NRM Knowledge Conference. This was the 8th conference of its kind, with the last one held in Victoria in 2019.

The conference was an opportunity for the sector to showcase its innovative work, share knowledge, develop peer networks and build cross-sectoral links. The 2022 conference theme was ‘Resilience to Transformation’, recognising recent progress towards building a more resilient environment and sector, and looking to the future at how to drive further momentum.

The conference was complete with tours of local sites of interest, panel sessions, debates, displays and ample opportunity for networking with peers.  At the event, we were chose to showcase our Noongar Boodja Rangers video which captures their seed enterprise work and we provided informative posters from our Healthy Environments team on how we work with local community groups and our Sustainable Agriculture team displaying information on our Dung Beetle mapping and gapping initiative.

Thank you to South West Catchments Council (SWCC) for hosting this amazing event!
