Rangers Continuing to Upskill

Posted in:
Aboriginal NRM

With the upcoming spray season nearly upon us we thought it would be a good idea to do a “refresher” course and ensure the safety of our Rangers plus give them the confidence and skills they need when applying and handling chemicals. Our Noongar Boodjar Rangers are continuing their professional development this week by attending a 2 day Apply Chemicals Under Supervision Course. The course is being run by Central Regional TAFE and is being Delivered at Muresk Institute Northam. It is certified training AHCCM201, a Cert II Certificate. The application of chemicals is a skillset and it is required in the work they do, maintaining the Northam Cemetery and also assisting WNRM in preparing clients properties for Re-Veg plantings. WNRM are committed to provide work ready skilling, training the Noongar Boodjar Rangers following culturally appropriate training methods.
