Environmental weeds:  past, present & future

Join the Environmental Weeds Action Network for its’ twentieth anniversary as they consider the future of environmental weed management in WA. An exciting range of speakers is planned, with Greg Keighery, Kate Brown and Jon Dodd.

Time:  8.30am to 4.30pm
Cost:  $15 payable at the door

The morning session will focus on revegetation and the afternoon session on invasive species management. 

Where do eagles dare?

Join Australian Geographic Society funded researcher Simon Cherriman for the world premiere of his new film – ‘Where do eagles dare?’

The one-hour film documents his world-first research into satellite tagging wedge-tailed eagles and following their movements as they travel across Australia at altitudes of up to 3000m.

WA’s biggest survey for Carnaby’s Black-Cockatoo, will be held on Sunday 12 April 2015.

Volunteers will count Carnaby’s at night-time roost sites across the southwest of the state on a single evening in April.

The 2015 GCC will also include the red-tailed black cockatoos.
