At the end of July, the Noongar Boodjar Ranger team continued their ongoing skills development with the commencement of chemical use training at Muresk Institute.

The ongoing wet weather may have posed less-than-ideal conditions for land management but it’s been perfect for honing new skills.

Our Noongar Boodjar Rangers have been putting their theory into practice this week.

This week our Noongar Boodjar Ranger team celebrated a key milestone. 100 days working on and maintaining the Northam cemetery.

The arrival of a new seed cleaner has seen our Noongar Boodjar Rangers’ seed collection efforts enter the next level. The team has been working with the team at Kimseed to hone their skills and add another aspect to our seed collection enterprise.

This week, our Noongar Boodjar Rangers are out on Country in Kokeby collecting seed for a significant commercial contract.

We were thrilled to see the Noongar Boodjar Rangers recognised at the 2021 State Landcare Awards on Friday, 19 November.

2021 has been a year of growth and milestones for our Aboriginal NRM team. From our Elders Advisory Group through our Noongar Boodjar Rangers, this year was a time of reflection backed by action.

We are kicking off 2022 with a renewed focus in Aboriginal NRM.

An employee’s choice to move on isn’t usually a cause for celebration but it is when they are a Noongar Boodjar Ranger. The Rangers were established to develop work-ready employees that can move onto bigger opportunities.
