Surya Ginjupalli
National Soil Monitoring Project
Soil Field Officer
Surya Ginjupalli has hit the ground running in our new role of Soil Field Officer and will be instrumental at Wheatbelt NRM as we roll out the National Soils Monitoring Program in the South West.
With a Master's degree in Soil Science from UWA and hands-on experience in field surveillance, nutrient analysis, and grower engagement both in WA and overseas, Surya brings a wealth of technical knowledge, and practical field skills to the role.
Prior to coming to work at Wheatbelt NRM, Surya was part of DPIRD’s Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer (PSHB) project, involved in tree inspections, collecting wooden samples from symptomatic trees, field surveillance, monitoring traps and engaging with the community to help protect WA’s environment.
Surya has previously worked on crop yield trials and monitoring projects, giving him hands on experience with growers and local stakeholders.
Surya said he is excited to build his skills further in soil science, as well as working with the Wheatbelt community through contributing to projects that support both agriculture and the environment.
Please join us in welcoming Surya!
