Small Grants for Growing Ground Cover Available

Posted in:
Sustainable Agriculture

Do you want to increase ground cover and provide fodder and/or shelterbelts but not sure where to start? We have some support available for landholders who have ideas for increasing groundcover and want to try them out.

Lack of groundcover can be a major issue on Wheatbelt farms, not just in summer, but often late into autumn and early winter.

There is a lot of options around that can help build groundcover such as pastures, fodder shrubs and summer cropping, but which one will work for you?

If you have been investigating a new management practice (new to you that is) and you are ready to try it out we would like to help you.

This small grants program will support the purchase of seedlings and/or seed up to a value of $2500.

Follow our easy application process and see if we can help you grow your ground cover.

Apply for the grant here.

This project is supported by funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
