New Guide Can Help You Navigate the Carbon Market

Are you a farmer or landholder trying to get your head around the carbon farming market?

Our friends at the WA Landcare Network and Gondwana Link have launched a handy, simple guide called the Carbon Market Overview (link this to Knowledge Hub location of brochure once up) to help you understand the ins and outs of the carbon farming economy.

The State Government is in the process of launching its own $15 million carbon farming strategy as part of its official climate policy and it is a timely resource for people looking to enter the industry.

“The Carbon Market Overview is a great introduction to the carbon market,” Wheatbelt NRM operations manager Rebecca Palumbo said.

“This is information which is becoming increasingly relevant to the Wheatbelt community.

“State Government policy is supportive of carbon planting in the Wheatbelt and we’re going to be increasing our focus in this area as well.”

The Carbon Market Overview, prepared by Carbon West for the WALN and Gondwana Link, is available to access on the Wheatbelt NRM Knowledge Hub.
