Last year Narrogin was the WA winner of the Tidy Towns Award. It would be wonderful for another Wheatbelt town to take the title this year.

Applications are now open for the  Keep Australia Beautiful’s Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards 2021.

It’s not all about being tidy. It’s about environmental sustainability too.

There are seven categories, including Environmental Education and Environmental Sustainability and diverse regional community projects can be entered.

The Awards bring recognition to remote and regional community initiatives, with a small amount of award money for category winners and the overall state winner.

Any organisation in a community can enter their community into the Awards and environmental groups are well placed to lead the nomination.

Eligible projects are those started, maintained, or completed between July 2020 and June 2021.

  • Submissions due by 27 August
  • Be prepared for a judging visit in September and
  • To attend the State Awards event at Optus Stadium in November
