Food for Black-Cockatoo’s

Posted in:
Healthy Environments

You can help feed our Black-Cockatoos! If you live in Brookton, Beverley or Pingelly, whether you’re in town or out on a farm, you can support the Black-Cockatoos that visit the region by planting food and habitat plants for future generations.

We’ve put together a list of native food and habitat plants for your region that they will love!

Community reports show black-cockatoos are making great use of the vegetation around Beverley, Brookton and Pingelly, but we’re still struggling to identify where they are actually breeding in these areas. We’ve found one nest west of Brookton and believe there are many more out there.

If you think you might know where they are breeding you can let us know through our cockatoo survey.

This project is supported by funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
