Our Noongar Boodja Ranger Team – On the Road Again!

Posted in:
Aboriginal NRM

Recently, our Noongar Boodja Ranger team took a road trip to Coorow and worked with the Badgebup Aboriginal Corporation from Katanning on a carbon planting project.

The teams were given the task of planting over 500,000 seedlings and this will be the first week of what is expected to be a pretty full-on schedule over the next couple of months.

Our Rangers team gain great satisfaction from working on carbon projects as they see Country being restored right before their eyes. Our Senior Noongar Boodja Ranger, Jermaine Davis explains, “Working with groups such as Badgebup to replace the native vegetation that has disappeared from our Country is important to our team. We take great pride in being able to be part of the solution.”

Our Noongar Boodja Rangers are a trained workforce in environmental restoration, including seed collection, site preparation and planting.  With combined formal and on the job training, collectively they hold many years of experience and they can respond to any call for assistance.

If you’d like to enquire about seed collection and revegetation opportunities please email our Operations Manager, Rebecca Palumbo here.
