The National Landcare Conference is a fabulous opportunity for Landcarers across the country to come together and learn from one another. It is also a chance to discuss building a resilient agricultural and environmental future for Australia.

Westonia Community Resource Centre recently held a photography workshop to encourage local children to enter the Wheatbelt NRM Youth Environment Photography competition.

Two lucky landcarers from the Wheatbelt region have the opportunity to attend the National Landcare Conference and Awards in Melbourne this year, thanks to our Regional Landcare Facilitator and the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme.

Wheatbelt NRM and Dumbleyung Landcare Zone are co-hosting the Tarin Rock Bioblitz in October 2016, to better enhance knowledge and understanding of the area's biodiversity values.

The Wheatbelt Science Forum is an annual event presented by the Inland Lighthouse Network. Held over two days in Wongan Hills, the forum is designed to bring advanced science concepts to middle-school children (Years 5-8) of the Wheatbelt and their teachers. This year’s theme was Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Wheatbelt NRM was excited to attend the Dowerin Field Days again last Wednesday and Thursday.

A single tractor working at sunset on a farm in Wongan Hills has taken out this year’s Youth Environment Photo Competition.

The Jungkajungka Woodlands Festival held over Easter in the heart of the Great Western Woodlands in Norseman, attracted 95 people from as far afield as Albany and Perth, including a number from the Avon Wheatbelt.
