Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources David Littleproud has encouraged Landcare groups, NRM bodies, Indigenous organisations and community groups to throw their hat in the ring and apply for a slice of over $9 million available under Round 2 of the Smart Farms Small Grants.

These grants are part of the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program and will support the adoption of best practices that improves the management and quality of our natural resources and increases on-farm productivity.

The Wheatbelt NRM Regional Agricultural Landcare Facilitator (RALF) is here to assist land managers, grower and landcare groups to apply for this funding.

Grants are available for amounts between $5000 and $200,000.

Applications close on 11 January 2019, and project activities must be completed by 30 September 2021.

Potential applicants for Smart Farms grants are encouraged to contact Jacquie Lucas, the Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator at Wheatbelt NRM on 9670 3113 or email jlucas@wheatbeltnrm.org.au .
