Access farmer support services through the Farm Hub

Sustainable Agriculture

The Farm Hub website was recently launched by the National Farmers’ Federation. It is an initiative resulting from the National Drought Summit held in October 2018 that brings together all sources of farmer support services in one, easy to navigate, website.

The site links to both public and private sector support services. Farmers can search the site by category (eg business support, on-farm support, household support or personal support) or by State.

There is also a knowledge hub linking together information from all sorts of organisations covering topics such as wool, beef, cropping, health and wellbeing and drought assistance.

The Regional NRM Strategy for the Avon River Basin identifies climate variability ‘shocks’, such as frosts, floods and droughts as a major challenge to achieving the strategic vision of

‘A healthy environment that has a viable agricultural industry and retains a strong sense of place’.

Wheatbelt NRM Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator Jacquie Lucas is committed to helping the community achieve this vision and can provide further information on this website as well as a range of other resources available.
