$60 million in Smart Farming Partnerships available

Posted in:
Sustainable Agriculture

The Australian Government has recently opened Round 2 of the Smart Farming Partnerships for applications.

Closing on 17 May this is an open, competitive, grant opportunity to support substantial, complex projects that are to be delivered in consortium partnerships to trial, develop and implement innovative tools and practices.

Grant applications up to $4m are welcomed.

This program seeks to foster true innovation in how we manage our natural resources and must be delivered in a partnership.

Every application must partner with either:

  • An Australian university
  • Regional Land Partnership service providers to the National Landcare Program
  • Rural Research and Development Corporations or Commonwealth, State or territory government agencies.

Wheatbelt NRM is the Regional Land Partnership service provider to the National Landcare Program in our Wheatbelt region and we welcome discussions regarding possible partnership projects.

Please contact Wheatbelt NRM’s Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator, Jacquie Lucas on 9670 3113 or jlucas@wheatbeltnrm.org.au.
