Help for your youth focused National Tree Day Event

Community Engagement

In 2019 3.6 million seedlings were sold in the Wheatbelt. How many more can we add through National Tree Day events?

National Tree Day, proudly sponsored by Toyota Australia, was co-founded in 1996. It has now grown into Australia's largest community tree-planting and nature protection event. Planet Ark is asking Australians to help plant one million new native trees and shrubs across the country.

This year Planet Ark are helping schools and community groups who register their event through their Seedling Bank Initiative. This program will provide financial support to schools and community groups to fund the purchase of seedlings.

Wheatbelt NRM is also keen to help our schools, playgroups, daycares and youth groups be part of this event. Once you’ve registered your event with Planet Ark contact us and we can work out how we can do it together.

From assisting with site selection, developing seedlings lists or finding seedlings in nurseries, Wheatbelt NRM are keen to help.

Apply for the Seedling Bank support at this website. If you’re not successful we may have limited funds available to help pay for the cost of your seedlings.

Please send an email to info@wheatbeltnrm.org.au to register your interest and we’ll contact you.

Register now with Planet Ark at this website as we need to find available seedlings promptly for your event this year.
