The Noongar Boodja Ranger team has been successful in gaining another contract to carry out work in the Wheatbelt.

With the change in focus of the National Landcare Program, the Ranger Team relies on business development to keep running and they have just picked up another job providing services to the community of the Wheatbelt.

Once a week the team heads over the Balladong Lodge in York. Run by Global Care Inc. Balladong Lodge provides an Aged Care Facility and an Independent Lifestyle Village.

The Rangers look after the gardens and maintain the lawns at the front of the units for the residents.

Facility Administrator at Balladong Amanda Broad said “We are absolutely delighted to have them on site. They were all well-mannered, professional, smiled as they worked - even offered to take the trailer and empty at the Rubbish Tip for us. That little extra of going above and beyond was a great help and well appreciated!”

The Team is hoping the residents come through with their promise of some scones for morning tea to show their appreciation.
