The Toodyay Friends of the River Inc (TFOR) wanted to build a picnic shelter with interpretative signage at Millard’s Pool, on the Avon River to the east of Toodyay townsite. The picnic area would attract members of the local community and visitors to the site, where there will be an opportunity to disseminate information about the local environment, the Avon River, and the broader Avon catchment.
