Located 5 kilometres west of the Northam Townsite, Burlong Pool is a semi-permanent body of water and a site of significance to both the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people of Northam. As part of a multi-stakeholder project, Wheatbelt NRM contributed to a seven-year rehabilitation plan. Part of this project was the installation of interpretative signs explaining the history, flora, fauna, birds and significance of this special place.
